The lodge is a comfortable, dorm-style building that holds up to 27 people (on occasion, we have hosted groups as large as 35+ people). Rooms in the main lodge hold 6-7 people, the upper cabin holds 6-7, and the lower building has 3 small rooms that fit 2-4 people.

 

Each room has its own hot water shower. Two additional cold water showers (to be solar heated in the future)  are located outside.

 

Smoking is prohibited in all buildings.

 

Laundry can be washed on site for $6 per load.

 

Dogs are not allowed in the refuge.

 

For the protection of the protection of the animals that live in the reserve, the lodge is a walk-in site. One of our staff provides transportation of luggage from the parking area down the 400 meter long wooded path to the lodge. (See lower image)

 

The Calandria Lodge provides an enviornment where everyone will feel comfortable and safe.  During the day a member of our staff will always be present. Nightime security is provided from 5pm to 5am.
